Bhai Bhai Kabab, Sadar Bazar Lahore

Not your regular Chapli Kabab. Yeh zara hat kay kaam hai. Smaller in size (3 inch diameter), very finely minced beef qeema along with other masala-jaat (unlike standard chapli kabab). They have two sizes and you can get a bigger one as well but I prefer nikka wala as it’s more crispier

Dukaan ka naam: Bhai Bhai Kabab. Established in 1970. Jee, takreban 52 saal.

Texture: Very bareek and karrak.

Taste: Delicious beef kabab, not overly spicy and has no after effect of seenay ki jalan. Comes with a watery green chutney along with ‘kaddu kash’ ki hui mooli (like laddu peethi). Served with thanday naan (is ka they should do kuch bandobast) Chutney is game changer for the taste of the kabab.

Price: Rs. 50 for one kabab. (They have a bigger one for Rs. 100 also).

Location: Main Saddar Bazaar. HBL Saddar say bazar mai enter hotay saath he forst chowk mai left hand pay.

Ameen Chanay – One of the best in Lahore

Enjj kar kay Naan Chanay for Sehri 😍
One of my all time favourite place for Behtareen chanay. Can have them annay is the waaa.

Quality: Full of taste, Subhan Allah Astaad Ji. Slight achaari type feel. Very well-balanced spice. Kofta quality and taste was very good. Garam garam loaded with till kulchay. Salad wala Raita is kay andar Enjj kar kay sutt’ein, It further enhances the taste.
Rating: 9/10 as per my tastebuds
Seating: A proper wadda seating hall for ‘co-education seating’ and a family hall as well.

A must try place if you are a chana lover.

PS: ‘Too much oil’ walay china kay foodies zara 4 foot dur rahen.

Like every other place, Hafiz Hotel was also sitting on my to-do list for some weeks now. Aaj mai nay Socha mausam acha hai yahan chalta hoon din mai. Itna ghalat Socha 🙄. Paseeno paseen program tha yaar. Feyr ‘AC Chalu’ kiya tou sukoon hua. Socho November almost here and AC. Baharhaal, roti ki details is the thallay

Khaya Kya? Their menu is kaafi lamba chaura is liye mai nay sirf 2 items order ki.
1. Karri Pakora: after listening to the hype, I was honestly expecting an amazing karri there. Lekin aisa hua nahin ☹️. It wasn’t bad but could’ve been better. If you are looking for ghar-like karri then this might not be the place. It comes with two table-tennis ball-sized pakoray. Pakoray were kaafi dry andar say. I cannot rate it more than 7/10, plz meri majboori samjho. Qeemat Rs 100.

2. Bakray ki kaleji – absolutely loved it. Aisa feel hua jaisay Eid walay din ghar mai banti hai. Highly recommended. Qeemat: Rs. 190

Seating: Kafi saaf suthra mahol. They have a family hall.
Mahol: All types of awaam come there for khana. Saw many Qulis having food there (Tayshunn pay saman chuknay mai help karnay walay).

Goshatt ki talaash mai mai bara bara khajjal kharaab bhi hua hoon but mennu pata he nahin see kay ghar kay paas bhi aik ‘Good Goshatt Place’ hai …. friends were suggesting this place since a while but mai dheet ban kay jaa hee raha tha .. khair thandi hawa mai goshatt ki talab hui tou I went here …..

Timaater Chatni
Kee Khaya? It was my firs time there so wanted to try as many items as possible without wasting anything. Went for their Goshatt wala platter for 2 to 3 persons. It had Batair, Chapli Kuwaaab, Beef Seekh Kabab, Malai Boti, Namkeen Boti, Chicken Boti, Uzbek Naan and Special Naan. (Quantity mentioned int he menu that I have posted in the comments). I loved Chapli Kuwaab, Batair, Malai Boti. the chatni was enjj kar kay ahhhmazing and I also loved both naaans. Boht aala.
Price: Rs. 1,750
Quantity: they are sachay larkay. Waqayi 3 logon wali quantity. 2 of us couldn’t finish and had to get samaan packed.
Seating: We sat on rooftop. Thandi hawa .. aye haye haye… they have these takhats in pure afghani/desi style .. sardi kay hisaab say lehaaf shehaaf bhi honay chahiye they with moooo-falli but khair hai koi baat nahin 😉

Will I go again? Yes, a nice place and I think this will be my go to place at least in this winter season. Have to try their Dumba Tikka, Sajji and Dumpukht in my next round …Tub tak kay liye Allah Hafiz .. Fee Amaan Allah and …. yes, Shooonkria

There are more than one ways to go for Intermittent Fasting (IF) but I personally follow Time-Restricted Fasting method

But this is dependent on how consistent you can be. If your schedule is frequently changing, or you need or want the freedom to go out to breakfast occasionally, head out for a late date night, or go to happy hour, daily periods of fasting may not be for you.

Butt Chanay – Pilots School, Wahdat road

Butt Kay chanay, outside Pilot School, Wahdat Colony, Wahdat Road, Lahore

Bohat aala and very different chanay jo thanday ‘kumbal Walay’ naan kay saath bhi achay lagtay hain. Sochen Zara level. Aye haye haye. Subhan Allah Ustaad Ji 😩😩😩(the maraasi face).

Very well cooked chanay with a nice ‘garam masala kick’ to it. The ‘tarri’ unlike other places is not ‘nirra laal rung ka tel’. Enjj kar Kay a very nice mixture of khushk methi and mota mota garam masala. This adds on to the flavour in each ‘Luqma’ (halaqq say nikal kay).

Kofta was very soft and was more like masala bhara kofta. Had pyaaz and Halka sa masala in the centre.

Garam garam ispayshall kulchay we’re spot on. Lassi was also very decent. Salad wala Raita is kay saath khana must hai. It further enhances the taste.

Seating: Aaj kal to gari mai hee hai.

Saleem Butt Mutton Chanay, Urdu Bazar kay bahir.

Kya khaya?: Mutton Machli Plate. Undoubtedly, one of the best mutton chanay in Lahore. Amazingly balanced spices where no flavour dominates the other and you can feel all the ingredients in each bite. No ‘aftershocks’, No heavy feelingzzzz and no heartburn.

Yeh ispayshall kulchay payyan Saleem kay nahin hain .. they serve saada naan, who jo kumbal kay wich kaar kar kay rakhay hotay hain .. not a big fan of that ‘kumbal naan’ therefore, apnay ispayshall kulchay khud lay gaya tha .. from Ghani Jee Restaurant (right next to Tooba Chanay in Lakshmi. Bohat aala kulchay).

Price: Rs. 600 for Mutton Machli, Kofta Chanay for Rs. 70 and Anda Chanay for Rs. 150.

Rating: 10/10 for me.

Seating: Saleem Payyan has 2 extremes when it comes to seating. You either have to sit on chatai on footpath or you have to stand and eat. Kharay huay hazraat kay liye they have these 2 relatively high tables jis pay ‘sharing is caring’ ki basis pay multiple banday eat in one go. Number of banday varies depending on the sehat of the people standing there . .. meray jaisay bus 3 ya 4 he aaa saktay hain 😉

Timing: I went at 9ish and the pateela was nakko nukk bhara hua .. which means you can be a little late and go till 10 or 10.30 but having said that, mutton machli milnay ki koi guarantee nahin itni late.

Haji Billa Makhan Chanay, Kasur

Kasur ki aik zabardast dareyaaft. Haji Billa Makhan Chanay (Interesting naam hai hai?). Bohat he aala chanay with a generous topping of desi makhan which they make in-house.

Makhan chanay – Creamy textured, well balanced spices served with ‘Tandoori Makhni Paratha’ and trust me aap nay Lahore mai aisay tandoori paratha nahin khaya. Rs. 80 for half plate (generous quantity). Paratha for Rs. 80. Rating: 10/10 for the combo. Difficult to beat.

Maghaz – Very average. Yeh nahin khana aap nay kiun kay mehnga bhi hai aur aitna acha bhi nahin hai. Rs. 300.

Had the above items from Haji Billa. They are serving chanay since last 37 years now.

Quality: Mutton Machli with Chanaaz. Shorba style Bareek chanay in an amazing mutton Yakhni with a til-o-til garma gram ispayshall kulcha. Blown away in the first bite. Have never tasted better mutton chanay before. Mutton was ‘Makhan’. Bari mushkil say, diet ka khayal rakhtay huay, sirf 2 kulchay khaye .. very difficult to resist. Khabardaar kisi nay Ghulam Rasool ka naam bhi liya.
Qeemat: Their price range is from Rs. 70 (for saada chanay) to Rs. 670 (for Mutton Machli). Mai nay choonkay kuch maheenay say paisay jama kiye huay tay so I went for the mehngi item (you know 😎). Mutton Plate starts from Rs. 320 onwards.
Mahol: Pathan-o-pathan mahol tha because bilkul baaju mai to sabzi mandi hai .. no family seating/hall and be ready to share your table with 2 to 3 different clients of theirs as the place is crowded. I was told that families do come but pretty early like 6 or 7 am at max and are served in the car.

Timing: He said subah but I think us waqt raat he hoti hai .. as per his statement, subah 3.30 am say 11ish.

Waqas payyan tussi great ho .. maula khush rakhay!

Sheefa Gurda Qeema, McLeod Road Lahore – 9/10

Chalo jee saray ‘keyboard daancters’ (👨‍⚕️) agay agay aa jayen with their favourite ‘heart attack in a plate’ aur ‘OMG Cholesterol Bomb’ kisam kay comments 😋Naam say to yeh jagah koi ‘chai-niss’ restooraan lagti hai but full Desi program hai.

Place: Sheefaa Taka Tak, Lahore Hotel, McLeod Road

Order:

Dish 1: Annay waa, ghair insaani miqdaar mai mutton chaanpss, gurday, dil and maghaz (boiz jo aap dhoond rahay hain Woh nahin khaye). Cooked in Desi gheyo. Dish 2: Their signature mutton qeema in kaali mirch. Sirf chakhna tha so got half kg only 😋Served with a combo of fried naans and saadi roti.

Quality: 10/10. Best in town. Beats Kaka Gurda Chaanp in taste (as per the info given by my tastebuds)

Chutti walay din subah subah uth kay nashta karnay janay kay fiday to kaafi hain but aik bara nuksaan yeh hai kay log aap ko pagal samajhna shuru ho jatay hain 🙄🙄🙄‘Dude who wakes up so early for food?’ 🤣Alhamdulillah I am certified Pagal and once again woke up today tat 7.30 am just to drive for 25km and visit this place for breakfast. Was on my list for quite some time
