Last night went to Kaka Gurda Chaanp B.Y.O.T 😜 (Build your own taka-tak). Went for Chaanpsez, Gurday, Dil and Maghaz.
While waiting for the food we had an appetiser, Amritsari kay cream bhallay (start of the beadon road fro McLeod Road side) .. “absolutely amazingly deliciously mazedaar”. Meetahay bhallay with a heavy layer of their special chatpata masala. 10/10.. Qeemat faqat 90 Rupay. A must try.
Had the taka-tak with fried naan (tassali kay liye paas roti bhi rakh li thee). Diet pay tha is liye bottal nahin peee mai nay. sakhti dekh rahay ho londay ki? 🤓
Final wardaat was Barray ka meetha paan (Royal Park) jis kay baad aik lambi khamoshi thee .. 10 min lag gaye they moo mai baat karnay ki jagah banatay banatay … best Meetha paan in Lahore.
So yeah, achi rahee kal ki diet. 🙄🙄🙄

Crispy Duck with pancakes from Fuchsia Kitchen.
For those who haven’t tasted duck, it’s not like chicken, as you can see. Tastes more like red meat.
The dish is basically shredded crispy duck along with Hoisin Sauce, lambay lambay (katay huay) kheeray and a spicy paste of red chilli. Comes with 4 small pancakes (choti roti type cheez of 3 inch diameter). So you have to basically assemble the roll Khud and then enjoy it 😋
It costs Rs 2,900 + tax.
I have had it for the first time and liked it but I feel it’s not value for money (I do understand kay batakh mehngi hoti hai). Might not have it again ‘apnay kharchay pay’. Agar aap nay mujhay khilani ho To plz availability advance mai check kar lijiye ga. Shoonkria 😋

Arif Chatkhara kay fazaail: Apnay bahir say aye huay guests ko Pehla khana hee Arif Chatkhara say khila do… fawaaid mandarja zel hain
1. Ziada time woh toilets mai guzaren gay aur aap is doraan apnay zaroori kaam ‘naber’ saktay hain
2. Is kay baad na un ka kuch khanay ko dil karay ga aur na hee himmat ho gee
3. Kum uz Kum aik hafta kaheen banir janay ki farmaish nahin karen gay
4. Is doraan aap ka maximum kharcha ORS kay sachet khareednay ke he ho ga.
Azmooda nushkha hai aur main itnay araam say kisi ko batata nahin hoon!
PS: Yeh khana firangi mehmaano ki pohanch say dur rakhen. Shoonkria. Arif Chatkhara ki tazheeek (yaani besti) maqsad nahin hai .. bus faint hearted goron say handle nahin hota. I personally love it

Meray cousin nay Kaafi dino say khup daali hui thee kay Haji Nehari is best in Lahore. Aaj socha Androon Lahori Gate say Kha hee loon.
Had half nali wali fry Nehari. Was good but
Waris, Anarkali wala boi rocks 🤟.
Much better than Haji (Haji fans say maazrat kay saath)

Sarak ka ganda khana has always attracted and fasicanted me. Aik faida to yeh hai kay banda awien cool cool (balkay kewl kewl) lagta hai street food khatay huay aur doosra ziada bara faida hai kay sasta hota hai 😉
Lahore mai Anda Shami Burgers kaafi ziada khanay kay baad I always wanted to try out their relatively desi-er cousins … jee, Bun Kabab!
Waisay to Karachi has a bun kabab vendor at every other corner but there are a few famous ones as well and Nursery kay bun kabab are one of them.
Had to move a few things around but did manage to try this Mash’hoor Bun Kabab on my last trip to K-Town. A very economical and clean bun kabab place. A must have for Lahori foodies who want to meet the Karachi ka anda shami!

Once you’ve eaten at Fuchsia Kitchen there’s no going back to any other similar eatery.
If you haven’t tried this place then I am afraid you’ve been eating very average kind of Thai and Chinese food at all other places in Lahore.
